ZCI REPORT: Instructors Assessment on Saturday at Glenorie. 5 on Saturday and 5 on Sunday. Glenorie will set up equipment with 9am start.
All riders accepted for state Showriding. New Zone saddlecloth orders due today, several riders have not ordered yet. Some of the riders from other zones have been balloted out. Good luck to all our riders.
RAS team of 4 final selection day was due yesterday, it was too wet so has been moved to Monday 25th November.
Riders that applied for State Camp are Tiffany Bignold – dressage, Brandon Beneke – showjumping/horsemanship and Carly Morrison – horsemanship.
NEW ZEALAND REPORT
As usual Gisbourne is being slow with programme but all organised this end. Hoping to hear soon.
Good results from the Area 1 Showjumping teams competition. Junior D grade – 1 team champions, Associate D grade Champions, Associate C grade Champions, B grade lost champion on a countback. Jessica Pye from Hills had a soft fall but very badly broke her leg, must have been the way she landed on her feet. Grounds were quite hard.
Sporting tryouts at Vines on Saturday 30th of November. GearCheck at 7.45am. 1st riders at 8am Start. Set up will be held at Vines on Friday at 4.30pm.
Councillors to vote yes for mounted games motion but no for C Certificate motion.
Wendy checked if zone or club providing sheets for tentpegging, whistle drill, showjumping and section 4.

Hunter class Under 17 9 riders and associates 9 riders
Reminder club team managers responsible for filling out accident reports (forms will be in clubhouse if needed).
All clubs to provide 2 raffle prizes.
All clubs to have first aid people on grounds as many parents hold current 1st Aid Certificates.

It was decided because of the large numbers in E and D grade showjumping that D grade will be run on Saturday afternoon.
Rider in action would open with all under 9 to go through together on Saturday so course wont have to be changed. Associate riders would do the course on Sunday morning.
Reminder that instructors from all clubs are to be in the clubhouse at 7.45 for briefing on Saturday morning before gear check.
Zone will submit a State Polocrosse Application to be held at Camden. Wendy to work out costing.
Doug reminded all clubs that cheques to zone need to be made out to PCA Zone 26 as the bank will no longer accept any thing else.
Clubs thanked Glenorie for Zone Dressage even though due to weather safety reasons it had to be cancelled at lunchtime.

Area 1: Triathlon on the 26th January include a copy of jumping card with entry.
State Show Riding:
Ø Southern Cross Yards are looking to see if anyone has seen the large hoses that were attached to the Stables as they seem to have been taken.
Ø Wendy thanked all the clubs that came and helped all clubs helped accept McDonald valley. It was a very hot weekend with some riders having to be taken away due to heat exertion.
Jamboree: All very happy was a great weekend by all and a very friendly environment.

Ø Lanes at State Mounted games are now to be 15mtrs wide and the lines are now demarcation lines so you cannot cross the lanes.
Ø Instructors system PCA are going to recommend a trainee instructor course before attempting the NCAS level 1.
Ø No more exposed steel on dressage arenas or rope arenas at all at any event.

Ø Vines thanked everyone that helped contribute to State Show Riding. A big thankyou to Sonia Hawkins family that donated the freezer van and everyone that gave raffle prizes.
Ø Hills Thanked all that helped with jamboree.
Ø Well done to all the riders for their achievements throughout 2012.
Ø Suggestion from Vines that Zone could look at a new style Saddle Cloth. These could be purchased by the members that are attending State events. So that the zone doesn’t have to purchase all of these. Need to get some samples that may be suitable and that would suit all disciplines and find a long standing producer so that it is easy to gain purchase.
Ø NEXT MEETING February 2013 WILL BE THE ZONE 26 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING THEN THE GENERAL MEETING.

NZ Report: Nothing to report.
Area 1: Area 1 Team show jumping event held on the weekend. All Zone 26 teams doing very well showing great sportsmanship to all fellow riders. Over all grades doing very well taking out top placings.
On Sunday there was the sporting tryout for the RAS. With our riders doing very well. First 5 are the first team and second 5 are the reserve team. All paperwork done by the 29th November 2012 to Michael Simes. This includes joining your club for 2013 with receipt proof.
Ø Triathlon entries are out and they need to get these in and you need to have the 2013 membership done.
State Show Riding:
Ø Area has been changed for where we had allocated our area to hold the event. We are now having the whole thing on the main arena area as the bridge between is broken.
Ø Linda will be organising with Southern Cross on the yards.
Ø Roster has been sent to all clubs so that names can be filled in and handed back at jamboree to Wendy so a final copy can be done.
Ø Show Jumps to be transported down Woodlands supplying these.
Ø Steel Star Pickets still required as we have not found someone to donate these. Wendy suggested that Zone Purchase 50 and then the clubs or individuals can by back after the competition. All Zone Agreed to do this. Michelle Sams is going to ask show horse council if we could use their star pickets and advise ASAP.
Ø La Parouse bringing bunting to Jamboree to give to Wendy that can be used.
Ø Hills, Woodlands and Vines to supply there bunting also.
Ø Shavings offer $9.35 from superior shavings delivered and then our helpers to unload to each lane of stables. Or Southern Cross Deliver in to each person’s yard at cost of $12. Rider’s responsibility to leave yards clean at end of weekend or the zone will send a invoice to the riders zone to claim money back. The zone will make the profit on the extra $ or so we charge. All clubs are happy to go with Southern Cross to supply straight into yards.
Ø Next Tuesday night extra show riding meeting to finalise things.
Ø Virbac Representives will be at presentation.
Ø Mobile speaker system Man is free all ok to go ahead with this.
Ø Presentation on Saturday Morning a short introduction on Hannah Dodd’s achievements.
Ø Peta Gormly and Cameron Grocott last Jamboree. Wendy to check entries if there are any other riders that are turning 25 before next jamboree.
Ø Issue that Glenorie raised on Beginners for champion. All clubs voted against this.
Ø 127 open ring and 21 beginners. 148 total entries.
Ø Stables are only to be used by Hills as they leased them to their members which covered repair costs. All other riders that wanted a yard are to use the Southern Cross yards which are ordered.
PCA Meeting: Bob and Linda have notes according to motion votes.
Ø Some riders are trying to obtain entries etc. via other clubs than the own so advise riders they need to obtain these from their own clubs.
Ø Hills have sent out info on dinner at Jamboree.
Ø Motion to give patches to the senior team from the RAS 4 riders that did not get to ride should get a patch to represent competing. Moved Vines Linda Beneke and 2nd Woodlands Park Leanne Martin.
